Do you perform LASIK at Danville Eye Center?
No. However, Dr. Cobble is eminently qualified and experienced in performing LASIK evaluations. In addition, if it is determined that you are a suitable candidate for LASIK, Dr. Cobble can refer you to the best LASIK surgeons in Virginia and North Carolina. Certainly, not all LASIK surgeons have equal skill, and some of the less scrupulous of the “fly-by-night” LASIK centers will perform the surgery whether you are a good candidate or not. Following an evaluation by Dr. Cobble, you can be assured not only that you are a good candidate for LASIK, but that you are being referred to a surgeon who is experienced and consistently successful in performing the procedure.

I’m having difficulty finding a doctor who will treat glaucoma in Danville, Virginia. What sets Dr. Cobble apart from these other doctors?
Many doctors, even those who are highly qualified, hesitate to treat glaucoma patients, preferring to refer them to specialists in other cities. The difference between these doctors and Dr. Cobble is that Dr. Cobble actively welcomes the opportunity to work with glaucoma patients; in fact, he has devoted much of his career to studying the disease and exploring advancements in its treatment. Where other doctors see a burdensome task, Dr. Cobble sees an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of his patients.
If you live in or near Danville, Virginia, quality glaucoma treatment is only a few miles away. Contact Danville Eye Center today to schedule an appointment with Dr. Cobble.

Is CK reversible? Is it permanent?
No and no. Like LASIK, CK cannot be reversed once the procedure is performed. This is why it is important to entrust your vision to a doctor who is skilled not only in the procedure but also in evaluating whether or not you are a good candidate for the procedure. CK is a solution to presbyopia. Its effects can wear off over years, though the procedure can be performed again as necessary.

Why should I choose Danville Eye Center for eyeglasses or contact lenses?
We have always envisioned Danville Eye Center as a “one-stop eye care center.” Our mission was to develop a practice that could serve the full range of eye care needs for an entire family without their having to commute from office to office. When we opened Danville Optical Center in 1999, we took a substantial leap toward fulfilling our goal. We invest the same care and dedication into our optical services as we do into our ophthalmologic services. The results have been extremely positive so far; we have quickly established a reputation for providing among the best eyeglass and contact lens services in Danville, Virginia.
